Desayuno - G10

Do further research about the foods of the Spanish speaking country that you were assigned (and also about the country from where your original artwork comes).

Also, study the new quizlets here:
Oops, someone has to create the new quizlets in order for them to exist. How did I forget that!
Anyone can do it: we need the "Describir la Comida" section from the vocab sheet and the compare/contrast phrases from last class period.

Be ready to write a short essay (in class) which compares and contrasts the typical breakfasts of different countries.

G10 - Tarea

Your artistic reinterpretation should be the size of a normal sized bond paper folded in half (use your own paper. This is due Tuesday. This is not a summative assessment but be creative. I would like to hang these up on the bulletin board next to prints of the original works.

Also, study vocab for food quiz on Tuesday.

Here's a tip: voice record yourself saying the words in Spanish and then listen to it while you are working on the art.

Arte de desayuno

Go here and choose the painting that you like the most.
http://zachary-jones.com/zambombazo/el-desayuno-en-el-arte/

Next class period, you will create a work of art similar to the one that you choose but that reveals the culture and customs revolving around the first meal of the day in your culture.

Then, click on the links next to your name and do your best to read about the typical breakfasts of each Spanish-speaking country. Leave a comment to this blog post with the name of the country and a list (in Spanish) of the foods that people typically eat for breakfast.

Comida Vocabulario - G10

For the quiz on Wednesday, you must know 70 out of 105(ish) of the food and drink vocabulary on the sheet I gave you. Disregard the last two sections "Describir la comida" and "Preparar la comica" as these two sections will not be on the quiz.

Below are links to Quizlet flashcard sets which may or may not be helpful to you. Anyone is welcome to create a list specific to our class and share the link. It could be a great way to study! (No, you will not get extra credit for doing it.)

EDIT: Here is the Quizlet for your Comida vocab list. Your welcome.
